1. Scope
This policy describes how the LALABI Channel Uploader (the “Tool”) handles information. The Tool is a private desktop utility used by authorized members of the LALABI channel team. It is not offered as a public consumer service.
2. Information the Tool accesses
After an authorized channel operator signs in with Google, the Tool may access the minimum YouTube account information needed to perform an upload workflow, including the connected channel identity, uploaded video metadata, thumbnails and captions.
The Tool requests these Google scopes:
- YouTube video upload (
youtube.upload) to upload videos and set their metadata and privacy status. - YouTube account management over a secure connection (
youtube.force-ssl) to attach captions, apply thumbnails and verify metadata for authorized uploads. Although Google’s scope description is broad, the current LALABI workflow does not delete videos, comments or ratings.
3. How information is used
Information is used only to authenticate the authorized operator, upload LALABI video files, apply approved titles and descriptions, attach approved thumbnails and caption files, and confirm that the requested channel operation completed.
4. Storage and security
Google OAuth authorization credentials are stored locally on the secured Mac used by the authorized channel team. The Tool does not operate a public user database. Uploaded media and related production files remain in the team’s authorized storage and in the connected YouTube account.
5. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell personal information. We do not share Google user data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data is transmitted to Google/YouTube only as necessary to perform the operator-requested YouTube actions, or when disclosure is required by law.
6. Retention and deletion
Local OAuth tokens are retained only while the Tool remains authorized for channel operations. An authorized operator may remove the local token files and revoke access at any time from the Google Account connections page. Revocation prevents future API access but does not automatically delete videos already uploaded to YouTube.
7. Google API Services disclosure
The Tool’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Children’s privacy
LALABI creates children’s entertainment, but the Tool is not directed to children and does not permit children or the public to create accounts. It is operated only by authorized adults managing the channel.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the Tool or applicable requirements change. Questions or deletion requests may be sent to luan.song@gmail.com.
